About the Artist

Daizy Crystal is a Hungarian artist living in Paris, working across music, performance, and visual
storytelling. As a singer, model, actress, and dancer, she brings her cabaret visions to life on stage
and in video-crafting compelling, stylized narratives through sound and spectacle.

Her aesthetic draws heavily from the glamour of the 1950s and 1960s, as well as the mystique of
the Moulin Rouge. With a background in literature and fashion design, Daizy weaves storytelling into
every aspect of her work-costume, concept, and character. Though her talents span many forms,
her heart beats strongest for music and singing

"Fragments: Through These Lenses"
An exploration of identity, illusion, and the personas we wear

Artist Statement

"Fragments: Through These Lenses" is a visual diary of persona-shifting, disguise, and the quiet
chaos of trying to define the self. Using wigs and glasses-simple tools of transformation-I become
characters molded by stereotypes, desires, and societal roles. Each image questions how much of
our identity is truly ours, and how much is worn like a costume to meet expectations.

The exhibition confronts the concept of identity crisis not as a breakdown, but as a layering-where
selfhood is fluid, performative, and often contradictory. We become who we need to be to survive
the moment. But in that endless morphing, do we lose the original version of ourselves-or were we
always a collage?

Through performance, stillness, seduction, and satire, these photographs ask:
Is the real you the one behind the glasses-or the one choosing which pair to wear?

THE VISIONARY DESIGNER

"Where ego meets invention."
Quote: I was born with taste in my blood. People don't understand pressure until beauty depends on them.
Fashion isn't frivolous. It's warfare with silk

THE SHY LIBRARY GIRL
"Hiding in plain sight."
Quote: I'm more comfortable in fiction. Here, I can choose who I am. Out there, it feels like everyone else
already decided

THE PIN-UP ES CORT
"Pleasure is a performance."
Quote: Men think they see all of me. But they only see what I allow. I am the show-and the curtain

THE WASHED-UP ROCKSTAR
"When the light goes out, who are you?"
Quote: There was a time they screamed my name. Now it echoes in empty venues. But hell, I still hear it

THE CORPORATE CLONE
"Cubicles make good cages."
Quote: I say 'best regards' and 'per my last email' like I mean it. But I don't even know what I mean anymore.

THE WILD MYSTIC
"You've been many things before this."
Quote: Your name? Just a label. Your job? Just a cage. Come closer. Let me show you who you were before
the world told you

Relics of Self

These wigs and glasses are tools of transformation.
Try them on, hold them, or just observe.
They carry stories, personas, fragments of identity.

"Fragments: Through These Lenses"
Mirror Prompt
Try one on.
Who do you become?
Look closely.
Is this a costume-or a confession
